What you'll do at work
* Maintain clients’ financial records using the latest bookkeeping software and innovative tools
* Prepare and submit VAT Returns
* Prepare tax computations
* Prepare self‑assessment tax returns
* Create working papers, lead schedules and statutory financial statements
* On‑board clients and build client relationships
* Submit company secretarial updates for businesses
* Gain an in‑depth knowledge of business and personal tax to comply with legislative regulations

Training
* Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data and identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon and using language tailored to the audience and different media methods
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, including backing up data
* In‑house training plus a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant qualification
* Training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West
* Completion of a Level 2 Functional Skill is required if the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A‑C (9‑4) or equivalent
