Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in Main Contracting?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an Estimator to join a professional and growing construction contractor specialising in healthcare, commercial, and education projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit and forward-thinking pre-construction team working on a variety of refurbishment and construction schemes ranging from small works through to multi-million-pound projects.

Qualifications
Essential:
* 3-5 years' estimating experience within a main contracting environment
* Experience within healthcare, commercial, or education sectors
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Strong organisational, negotiation, and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Degree qualified or holds a construction-related qualification
* Good understanding of JCT / NEC forms of contract
* Experience using SMM7 and/or NRM
Roles & Responsibilities
* Review tender documentation to identify subcontract and material requirements
* Prepare and issue subcontract tender enquiries
* Assess and align subcontractor quotations
* Produce competitive tender submissions using subcontract and first-principles pricing methods
* Identify pricing gaps and compile labour, plant, and material costings
* Produce take-offs for general construction works, including flooring, ceilings, and partitions
* Prepare tender stage programmes
* Price project preliminaries, including welfare, waste management, and site protection requirements
* Identify and compile tender qualifications and exclusions
* Support the wider pre-construction team to ensure deadlines are achieved
* Attend site visits and undertake nationwide tender surveys when required
* Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tender process

* Work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude
* Be flexible to travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays
* Show commitment to professional development and industry knowledge
* Be eligible to work within the UK
* Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check as part of onboarding
