Job overview
We are looking for caring staff for our vascular ward here at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust at St Mary's Hospital. As part of our team you will be working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring safe and aseptic venipuncture and cannulation needs of our patients. Apart from this you are expected to help colleagues in caring for patients to enable their comfort and independence by the provision of high quality healthcare.
We are seeking applicants who are enthusiastic and understand the requirement for working with both dependent and older people. Experience of working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage. If you have not already done so, you must be willing to undertake in house training that is related to your role.
The post requires the successful applicant to work Monday to Friday early shifts.

Main duties of the job
7. To perform high standards of venepuncture and cannulation to our service user, under supervision and assist with the delivery of direct patient care, with the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery.
8. To improve the patient experience.
9. They will work independently but as an integral part of the Charles Pannett team.
10. This role is vital in supporting safe and timely patient discharge by ensuring early blood collection, enabling prompt clinical decisions, and improving patient flow across the ward.
