Role
To undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or community setting. The post-holder will require to work without direct supervision on a regular basis, referring to the registered nurse as required.
Qualifications
* SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Desired Skills
* Experience of working with people with long term mental health/ LD problems.
* Experience of working in in‑patient setting.
* Knowledge of the issues that can affect people suffering from long‑term mental health issues and learning disabilities.
Contract details
Contract type: Permanent. Full time. 37 hours.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Cleland Hospital. The working pattern for this role 5 days from 7.
