Be part of an expanding support team. Immediate interviews available for both new to care and experienced staff in Kent. Support involves assisting autistic adults with daily needs and engaging in activities such as visiting theme parks, swimming, walking, and shopping.
Excellent specialist training is provided.
Starting salary averages £25,812 per year for a 35-hour week, including one sleep-in per week at £60 per night. Working an additional 6 hours weekly (total 41 hours) increases annual earnings to approximately £29,844. Overtime opportunities can lead to salaries exceeding £30,000.

About The Service
Newton Close, opening in March 2025, is part of The Kent Autistic Trust's supported living development in Lordswood, offering high-spec, modern flats designed for autistic adults. The site is accessible and features five flats. Some tenants will transition from existing residential homes, ensuring continuity of high-quality care.
Newton Close is part of a supported living cluster with another site in Chatham, overseen by an experienced manager. Staff from previous services have transitioned here to maintain consistency. We are expanding our team to provide exceptional care and support in this new environment.
This permanent role offers varied responsibilities with opportunities for progression. We support adults with complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities, on a 1:1 basis, using specialist PBS training and ongoing professional development.

Tasks and Responsibilities
* Drive a mobility car or service vehicle (manual license essential)
* Support individuals displaying challenging behaviors or with mental health issues
* Assist with community activities such as shopping and walks
* Administer medication
* Support with personal care and hygiene
* Work confidently and independently
* Participate in sleep-in shifts with allowances
* Household management tasks
* Maintain privacy, confidentiality, and dignity
* Handle money for shopping and banking
* Support individuals with additional needs like epilepsy, pica, learning disabilities
* Build good relationships with colleagues
* Maintain accurate written records
