Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of both patient care and commercial focus, requiring a strong leader with a passion for Healthcare, patients and driving a profitable business. This role is accountable for delivering all Pharmacy‑related targets and deadlines and for managing the store Pharmacist and Pharmacy Colleagues, supporting the drive to make Asda Pharmacy the best in class. On a day‑to‑day basis, the Pharmacy Practice Manager will lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to deliver an excellent patient experience, achieving exceptional levels of patient safety. You will take direct responsibility for the support and development of all direct reports and locums to maintain high standards of professional customer service and compliance within GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
Rota: Week1 – Monday9‑9, Tuesday9‑9, Thursday9‑9, Friday9‑9, Saturday9‑9; Week2 – Monday9‑9, Tuesday9‑9, Wednesday9‑9.
• Deliver all pharmacy‑related targets and deadlines. • Manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and support staff. • Coach and develop staff to ensure excellent patient experience and high safety standards. • Maintain compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance. • Coordinate with in‑store, regional and home‑office teams to provide expert clinical and service support.
• Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC. • Accredited to deliver national and local services for the NHS and private healthcare. • Experience as a line manager and pharmacist, able to balance responsibilities safely. • Proven ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve defined KRAs. • Experience in challenging and resolving difficult situations while maintaining strong relationships with store and field teams. • Valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, safeguarding qualifications, DBS check and live‑update service enrollment.
