An international engineering organisation is seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians with a mechanical and/or mechatronics background to support a short-term industrial installation project within a nutrition / flour mill environment in the UK.
The initial project will run for 3–4 weeks, with the intention of trialling collaboration and building a long-term working relationship for future projects, subject to performance and project requirements.
Role Responsibilities
* Hands-on mechanical installation and assembly of industrial equipment
* Hoisting, positioning, and placement of machinery according to layout drawings
* Mechanical and electrical routing and installation
* Supporting mechatronic and basic electrical tasks as required
* Participating in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Working closely with an onsite lead engineer and installation team
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Mechatronics Technician
* Strong hands-on installation experience in industrial environments
* Ability to work from layout drawings and technical plans
* Experience with routing, assembly, and equipment installation
* Comfortable working in industrial / nutrition / food processing facilities
* English-speaking
* Available to work onsite for the full project duration
Project Structure
* Initial 2 weeks focused on mechanical installation
* Final week(s) involving mechatronics / electrical-related tasks
* One shift pattern
* 50–60 hours per week
* Monday–Friday, with Saturday work possible
