Where Learning Looks Different and So Does the Impact

Discover a truly rewarding career at No Limits, where education happens beyond the classroom and every day brings new opportunities to make a real difference.

At No Limits, we support young people aged 16 and over with learning disabilities, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. Our mission is to help them build independence, gain life skills, and grow in confidence. You don’t need previous experience, just heart, energy, and a UK manual driving licence. We’ll give you all the training you need. You bring your positive attitude and passion for helping others shine.

This is a full-time, term-time only role, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm (35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year). You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in up to three weeks of paid training and development during school holidays.

You won’t be based in a traditional classroom. Instead, you’ll work out in the community, supporting learners in real-life situations. You’ll help them develop essential life skills like using public transport, ICT, cooking, money management, and independent living. You may also accompany them to college or work experience placements. It’s a varied, people-focused role that brings something new every day.

Making a Real Difference

Harriet is just one of the many young people whose life has been transformed through No Limits. After being excluded from school due to a speech impediment and social anxiety, Harriet found it difficult to express herself. With the help of our team, she began using a communication device to make choices and structure her day. Her confidence grew and she started doing things independently, including ordering food in a café, something she never imagined she could do.

Today, Harriet is thriving at college and continues to grow in confidence. That’s the kind of impact you can have in this role.

What You’ll Need

* A full UK manual driving licence

* GCSEs (Grade C/4 or equivalent) in English and Maths

* A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for supporting others

No experience is required. If you’re caring, enthusiastic and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Join Us

At No Limits and MacIntyre, you’ll be part of a warm, supportive team that truly cares. We’ll invest in your training and development and value the contribution you make every day. You’ll go home knowing you’ve helped someone achieve something incredible.

If you’re looking for a role with real purpose, where you can grow and help others do the same, this could be the start of something amazing for both you and the young people you’ll support.

Apply now and see what’s possible when there are No Limits.

Please note: We are currently unable to offer sponsorship while we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

About us

MacIntyre is a national charity which supports over 1,200 people with a learning disability and/or autism.

We were founded in 1966 by the visionary parent of a child with disabilities and have been growing steadily ever since. We celebrate and develop everyone’s unique gifts, talents and contributions.

No Limits is our further education division, providing bespoke education programmes to children and young people for whom more traditional learning environments are not appropriate.

What we need from you

Perhaps you’ve worked in special education, as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant. Perhaps you've been a Support Worker in the social care sector. However, experience is not essential. For us, underlying ability and attitude are just as important as background and experience.

If you have not worked in the field of education before then please don’t be put off. We can provide all of the specialist training you need, but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient; and those are essential qualities for this work.

You must be a driver with your own transport, willing and able to travel across the area, supporting young people from their own homes. Reasonable mileage is reimbursed.

GCSEs (or equivalent) minimum C grade in English and Mathematics are essential.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.

But it doesn't stop there - throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams. These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities - all free of charge.

Pay and Rewards

We provide a range of benefits to reward and thank our staff which includes:

* 5.6 weeks' annual leave including statutory public holidays
* Workplace Pension scheme MacIntyre will contribute 3% of your salary to all eligible employees
* MacIntyre Staff Savings Scheme
* Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing
* Health Cash Plan which provides money back on core health treatments such as: optical, dental, physiotherapy, chiropody (at reduced cost)
* MacIntyre Sick Pay (qualifying period)
* Life assurance scheme offering valuable benefits to your dependents
* MacIntyre Rewards Scheme which recognises and rewards staff
* MacIntyre Perks which offers up to 6% discount off leading retailers including Tesco, Curry/PC World, Costa and many more
* Access to the Blue Light Card which offers thousands of amazing discounts online and on the high street for emergency and social care staff.
* Enhanced DBS Certificate (cost paid by MacIntyre)
