*About The Role *
As a manufacturer-trained Diagnostic Technician you will take on a wide variety of diagnostic, repair and maintenance work - from complex electrical issues to EV-specific systems - all carried out to exact manufacturer standards. You’ll follow the correct processes for warranty and service work, manage your own workload efficiently and stay up to date through a manufacturer-supported training programme.
You’ll also play a key part in supporting your colleagues - sharing your knowledge, helping with diagnosis and promoting best practices across the workshop.
*What You’ll Be Doing*
* Carrying out mechanical, electrical and EV diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer specifications.
* Following approved processes for servicing, maintenance and warranty work.
* Using diagnostic tools and data to identify and resolve complex faults efficiently.
* Delivering high-quality work on time while managing your own efficiency and workload.
* Continuously developing your skills and technical knowledge through manufacturer training.
* Collaborating with your team to meet departmental targets and maintain high standards.
* Completing accurate and concise job write-ups and ensuring all documentation meets requirements.
* Adapting quickly to new systems, technologies, and vehicle updates in an ever-changing market.
* Managing time effectively, staying organised, and maintaining focus under pressure.
*What We’re Looking For*
* Minimum of 5 years manufacturer experience (any brand) with formal, recognised qualifications.
* EV Level 2 or Level 3 certification and approval to diagnose and repair EV systems.
* Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Confidence in reading and interpreting data to diagnose complex faults.
* Adaptable and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning.
* A team player who thrives in a busy, high-performing environment.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
