Company Overview
You will be joining a very well-established, prestigious and highly regarded Consultancy business as their Senior Credit Controller on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a newly created, sole charge Credit Control role, reporting directly into the Financial Operations Manager, supported by a larger finance team including Accounts Payable, Billing, Management Accounts, and more. You will be based in their modern Central London office 1-2 days a week, with the option to work from home for the remaining days.
Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding invoices, reporting, chasing debt, and attending reviews/meetings. You will actively resolve credit balances and unassigned cash within the region, documenting in line with legal requirements. You will assist with month-end close from an AR perspective, post cash accurately and timely, including intercompany payments, and prepare quarterly reviews of invoices over 180 days. You will identify bad debt write-offs, support with time-sensitive projects, and assist Credit Control Team Leaders daily. You will liaise with the AP and Billing teams to resolve queries and escalate as needed.
Role Requirements
Candidates should have 2-3 years of relevant Credit Control experience, preferably in an Executive Search, Recruitment, or Consultancy environment. Experience with Interim Credit Control is a plus. You should be confident, professional, possess strong communication skills, and enjoy working collaboratively in a high-performing environment. Organisation, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude are essential. Experience with SAP or similar accounting software and intermediate Excel skills are preferred. A strong work ethic, passion for numbers, and self-motivation are important qualities.
