OurRetail team is expanding! We are seeking an exceptional Sunday RetailSupervisor to work in one of our three Hackney-based Five Sisters Charityshops.
Thesuccessful applicant will be responsible for opening and closing the shop andmust be available to work on Sunday.
It is a fast paced environment,and you will need to be target driven with excellent customer service skills. Agood knowledge of brands and trends is a definite advantage.

1. Shiftsupervision
Responsible for supervising shifts in one or our twoHackney shops
Responsible as a key holder for opening and closingthe shop, ensuring that it is open for business at the specified opening hours
Supervise shifts in otherretail outlets as required such as market stalls and seasonal pop ups
Display merchandiseattractively to maximise appeal to customers and as directed by the RetailManager
Day-to-day responsibilityfor supervising and supporting a team of volunteers, including coaching anddevelopment
Contribute to the trainingof new volunteers as well as conducting refresher training as needed
Supervising and contributingto the delivery of the tasks that have been defined in the daily job listincluding cleaning, stock replenishment and sorting of donations
Responsible for ensuringthat a great experience is delivered to customers by all staff and volunteers
Responsible for managingcustomer queries or complaints quickly and to their satisfaction, elevating theissue to the Retail Manager if necessary
Responsible for reportingany concerns relating to staff or maintenance to the Retail Manager
Leading by example, bypromoting a positive working environment for volunteers
Build a good rapport withlocal people to encourage a strong sense of community
Develop accurate end of dayfigure sheets and any other financial or other reports required by the RetailManager
Bank daily takings in linewith Hospice policies and procedures.

2. Healthand safety
Day-to-day responsibilityfor insuring that the shop and stock management processes are followed in linewith health and safety guidelines.
3. Sales targets
Build an understanding of the requiredfinancial performance of each shop and retail outlet, and work towardsachieving the sales targets with support from the Retail Manager.
4. Stock control
Assist with coordinating andsupervising the collection, sorting and storage of stock that has been donatedby the general public.
Play a significant role incontrolling stock movement between the Hospice, the two shops and other salesoutlets
Assist the Retail Marketingteam in selecting items to sell through the Hospices online channels.
Personal development

Qualifications
Essential
1. Q1. A good all round education including a minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
2. Q2 Good knowledge of our key service areas of Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets
3. Q3 A good understanding of and experience in achieving financial targets, ideally in a retail setting

4. Q1 Knowledge of the retail environment in our service areas
5. Q2 Understanding of health and safety requirements in a retail setting

6. E1 Previous sales experience in a retail environment, ideally in a charity
