Some travel will be expected to work with both our UK teams in London and Bristol, as well as our client offices in France and Belgium.
Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?
You'll join Kaluza's growing Global team, working alongside a talented mix of Product Managers, Engineers, and Delivery experts. You'll also be a vital member of our global User Experience Design team, with colleagues based across the globe.
You'll be working on Kaluza's Energy Retail platform, a SaaS solution that empowers energy retailers globally to revolutionise their core operations and accelerate their decarbonization efforts.
What will I be doing?
You can perform a wide range of UX tasks, ranging across product design, user research and service design. Applying these to solve applying a broad knowledge of UX principles and methods to different contexts and challenges.
* Understanding and designing end-to-end user experiences tailored to the needs of our European clients and their customers, with a focus on the Payments area of our platform.
* Producing multiple proof-of-concepts and co-creating engaging, effective experiences for our retailer client users. You also elevate our Design System by actively using existing components and contributing new ones to increase consistency and efficiency.
* Applying a variety of UX design methods including journey maps, design sprints, and co-creation workshops to tackle complex organisational challenges.
* Proactively conduct and act on user research to improve our products by producing actionable and highly visible insights to improve our products and services. You will also be expected to frequently present your findings to the wider UX team, the business and clients.
* Using Information Architecture (IA) principles to organise and structure complex content.
* Advocating for accessibility and inclusive in all design and product decisions you are part of.
Is this the job for me?
Ideally you'll have/be:
* A hands-on designer with a track record of solving problems and delivering impactful design solutions.
* Strong Product Design skills, producing high quality prototypes. As well as the ability to use and expand our design system. Regularly contributing to our content standards, ensuring alignment with the brand voice, terms, and style guide.
* Highly collaborative, able to structure workshops and design sprints to drive alignment and innovation across your immediate teams.
* Adaptable to the evolving needs of a fast-moving global business.
* Experience with using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform and defend your design decisions.
* Proactive in improving design processes and standards. Continually looking for ways to increase efficiency and consistency, including using AI powered tools.
* A champion of user-centered design and Kaluza's UX vision.
* Able to proactively identify design opportunities and research needs within a product area and prioritize work for maximum impact.
* Interest in the energy sector, with a strong desire to learn.
Nice to Have:
* Strong French language skills.
* Knowledge of the nuances of the European energy market.
* Experience of contributing and working with an established design system
* Previous experience of working in a SaaS environment.
