We are currently recruiting for an L&D Delivery Manager to join our L&D team.
Overall Purpose of the role
To lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development programs that enhance workforce capability, safety, and leadership whilst supporting organisational goals, employee growth, and a culture of continuous improvement.
The role ensures that training is aligned with industry standards, regulatory compliance, and strategic business goals.
This role requires frequent travel to various contracts across the UK.
ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Needs Analysis
* Collaborate with site managers, project leads, Health & Safety and HR to assess skills gaps.
* Conduct competency assessments and workforce capability reviews.
* Align training needs with CITB, Apprenticeship Levy and other funded opportunities
Program Design & Delivery
* Develop and deliver (in person and virtually) content, including Induction, technical, safety, soft skills and leadership programs.
* Lead Front-Line Leadership and supervisory development initiatives.
* Support the development of career pathways and learning journeys for site-based and office staff
* Integrate EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) principles into all learning initiatives
Compliance & Accreditation
* Ensure all training meets construction industry standards and legal requirements
* Support with grant applications and funding processes
Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with operational leaders to embed learning into daily site practices
* Coach line managers to build high-performing teams
* Support change management and cultural transformation through learning
Evaluation & Reporting
* Monitor training effectiveness and impact on project delivery (optimise the Learning Management System – LMS).
* Report on KPIs, ROI, and compliance metrics.
* Continuously improving programs based on feedback and performance data.
Key Skills/Knowledge & Experience:
* At least 3 years’ experience in L&D within construction or a related industry.
* Strong facilitation and presenting skills.
* Familiarity with health & safety and technical training standards.
Required Qualifications:
* An accredited award in education and training at level 3 or higher (or equivalent)
* A train the trainer or instructional techniques course certificate
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety (or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications
* NVQ/SVQ Level 3/4 in Environmental Management
* NEBOSH Environmental Diploma
* TAQA L3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (Assessment Only)
