Role
The Serviceperson / Production Operator takes product from the Injection Moulding machines that are transported via conveyors and onto tables. The product is checked for quality and, where required, has either assembly activities or completed as a finished article. The products are then packed into appropriate bags and/or boxes that are individually labelled and placed onto wooden pallets. The products are then booked onto the IFS system, wrapped, if required, and moved to either ‘work in progress’ stores or ‘finished goods’ stores. (Production data is found on Production Information sheets PIS). The role requires the post-holder to weigh count all product going to ‘work in progress’ stores and record the amount accurately. To monitor production run-times and record any over-runs and report them to the Leader. The role also requires the post-holder to help the Leader organise the Operator labour effectively.
