My client is a highly regarded organisation within the housing and public services sector, known for delivering complex and high-impact legal work. Their in-house legal team provides pragmatic, commercially focused advice, and they are now seeking an experienced Housing Litigation Solicitor (£50-£70 per hour) to join them on an exciting interim assignment. This role offers the opportunity to step into a well-established team and make an immediate impact.
Job Title: Housing Litigation Solicitor (£50-£70 per hour)
Rate: £55 - £70 per hour via umbrella or PAYE equiv
Contract Type: 3-6 month contract
Location: Worcester / Hybrid (flexible home and office working)
Hours: 35 hours per week
What you'll be doing:
* Managing a varied caseload of housing management litigation matters, including possession claims, injunction applications, and housing conditions / disrepair claims.
* Providing clear, pragmatic advice to the business on a wide range of housing law matters.
* Supporting senior colleagues in the oversight and development of the in-house Housing Litigation team.
* Ensuring legal services are delivered in a cost-effective manner, minimising risk to the organisation.
* Drafting high-quality statements of case and witness statements.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
* Acting as a trusted advisor and "go-to" specialist for housing litigation queries.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years' PQE, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
* Strong working knowledge of housing law and civil procedure rules.
* Proven experience managing housing litigation matters, including fast-track cases.
* Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.
* Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
* A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running in an interim role.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
