Workshop Controller required in Treforest.
1. Starting basic salary circa £30,000 per annum, with an OTE of £36,000 per annum; however, this can be heavily exceeded.

Our client, a large long-established multi-franchise approved car dealership based in the Treforest region, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Workshop Controller to join their busy Service Department following an internal promotion.
Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be accountable for an 11-ramp workshop, overseeing a team of 10-12 Vehicle Technicians. Your responsibilities will include:
4. Day-to-day control of the workshop team.
5. Liaise with the Aftersales Manager and team to ensure the best process.
6. Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the Service Department.
7. Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
8. To calculate and manage the effective use of the workshop.
9. Plan the distribution of work among the team utilising the available skills mix.
10. Identify individual training and development needs.
11. Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress.
12. Manage workshop standards by HSO requirements.
13. Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of brand service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators.
To be eligible, you will ideally live in the Treforest region or live within a reasonable commuting distance to Treforest and will need to have a proven track record in running a successful automotive workshop for the past three years, ideally within a franchise-approved car dealership. Overall, you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results-oriented, have problem-solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
