AESC is looking for a CAPEX purchasing Manager in UK to work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, and requirements demand cell production volume at a scale which was once thought to be impossible to reach.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Set the procurement plan of related construction service, engineering and materials based on the project's construction plan in reverse order.
2. Develop commercial plan to clarify individual package cost targets and procurement strategies (centralized or local procurement)
3. Set and conduct the procurement strategy.
4. Organize bidding and tendering, vender bidding and nomination.
5. In charge of the contract with vendor and tracking & conducting
6. Business negotiation of project changing
7. Payment and settlement of vendor
8. Systemic placement of PO/PR requirements based on output of above.
9. Develop an internal org chart to AESC to support all business functions for the life cycle of the project.
10. Proactively finding creative solutions to save cost and enable AESC to accelerate industrial development.
11. Partner with suppliers and vendor globally and define strategies to scale second product development.
12. Coordinate & support for global GEC equipment & global direct material related project issues.
Requirements
• Bachelor / Master’s degree in engineering
• 5 to 10 years of extensive experience in procurement/contract management, preferably in MEP, Construction or Facilities space, of large industrial construction projects ($100m+ capex)
• Additional experience in project controls or construction management preferred.
• Hi-tech, construction and/or automotive industry experience.
• Strategic Sourcing, Opportunity Analyses, and Contract Negotiations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (C1 minimum), and presentation skills are a must.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power BI, SAP
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with challenging timelines and goals.
• Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and willingness for continuous improvement.
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution.
