Zenith Peopole are working with our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the North East seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a key leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across all production activities. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a High Volume Manufacturing Background. Responsibilities * Lead and manage all manufacturing operations in line with safety and environmental regulations * Plan, coordinate, and control production resources to meet output targets for quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction * Oversee daily operational performance and ensure alignment with business goals * Drive improvements in safety, compliance, and operational efficiency * Review production processes and implement metric-driven enhancements to achieve world-class standards * Collaborate with operations and quality teams to meet site schedules and business needs * Deliver projects aligned with strategic objectives and performance targets * Manage manufacturing budgets and contribute to financial goals through waste reduction and productivity gains * Ensure full compliance with site procedures and regulatory requirements * Own and execute production plans, ensuring optimal use of labour and equipment to meet demand * Strengthen internal service agreements and cross-departmental collaboration * Represent production in cross-functional meetings and strategic initiatives * Develop and deliver training programs to upskill production teams and support career growth * Participate in quality reviews, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions * Conduct health and safety assessments and apply appropriate controls * Champion a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence * Define and track KPIs to monitor and enhance production outcomes Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Production Manager in high-volume manufacturing * Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies * Exceptional leadership, organisational, and people management skills * Ability to work under pressure while maintaining precision and focus * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * High level of numeracy and analytical thinking * Demonstrated success in team development and training * Self-motivated with excellent time management * Practical, hands-on approach with a proactive mindset * Proficient in standard software tools and systems * Promotes a culture of transparency, integrity, and collaboration If you would like to be considered for this vacancy please click apply now
