The role
Orbit are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Project Lead to join the team. In this vital role, you will assist the Head of Health and Safety in the implementation and on-going provision of a Group wide Health and Safety Management System, to ensure legal compliance.
Day to day in this role you will also provide project and systems leadership, to continuously improve the H&S infrastructure, systems, compliance, audit, assurance and competency. You will have proven experience of working with H&S management systems (accident reporting; loner worker monitoring; grey fleet management) and have experience of working with Social Housing.
What you'll achieve
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Responsible for management and development of the Group Health & Safety Assurance Co-ordinator.
Responsible for managing, collating and submitting Orbit’s annual ROSPA Sector Award - Public Services and Local Government.
Responsible for updating existing and developing new e learning and classroom training, delivering training internally.
Responsible for collating data, carrying out statistical analysis and the production of Customer and Properties Monthly & OHAL Quarterly Health & Safety performance.
Responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, procedures and guidance and ensuring that any updates required are highlighted to the Health & Safety Manager Responsible for providing support to other departments on H&S related issues when necessary.What you'll bring
Essential skills:
Must have experience of effectively delivering and monitoring H&S activity across a multi-site organisation.
NEBOSH certificate or equivalent (desirable - training opportunities available dependant on experience)
Experienced in developing H&S Management Systems
Must be willing and able to travel with own transport
Excellent presentation skills
