This is a great opportunity for a candidate starting at junior level to join a progressive, reputable and growing Electrical and Mechanical Contracting company serving the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. The Role:
* To receive and download tender enquiries and communicate to relevant estimators.
* To print drawings and specifications.
* To send enquiries to suppliers and specialist subcontractors and receive quotes.
* To prepare take-offs from drawings - full training will be provided for the candidate to learn to interpret project drawings, specifications and other technical documentation to develop core estimating skills.
* To attend site visits and tender meetings with Estimating Team to develop on site knowledge and client communication.
* To input quotes and take-offs onto estimating software - full training will be provided.
* To learn the basics in designing systems from outline project requirements.
* To prepare tenders for submission and upload to portals - full training will be provided.
* To keep accurate and detailed records and update spreadsheets.
* To understand the basic operations of project delivery including design and build of a range of electrical installations.
The Person:
* Adaptable to change and able to work flexibly.
* Positive attitude to team working.
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
* Previous experience in construction industry/electrical contracting advantageous but not essential.
* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
