Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice - Transport Infrastructure

Ramboll invites you to apply for a Technician Apprenticeship in our Transport Infrastructure team, assisting in the delivery of infrastructure design services across various projects. You will receive full support to achieve a Level 3 qualification, typically on a day release basis, laying a solid foundation for a successful career.
The Apprenticeship Programme Duration, Cost, and Qualifications
The apprenticeship lasts approximately 27 months (dependent on experience). The cost is covered by Ramboll through the Apprenticeship Levy.
Qualifications awarded:
* Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
* BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
Upon completion, you will meet the requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician with the Institution of Civil Engineers, in accordance with the Engineering Council. Career progression options include continuing as a Civil Engineering Technician, studying a Senior Technician Apprenticeship, or pursuing a Degree in Civil Engineering.
The apprenticeship involves working four days a week for Ramboll and one day a week at college or remotely at South Hampshire College Group. An End Point Assessment will be required to demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and behaviors learned during the apprenticeship.

You will join our Infrastructure department
As a Technician Apprentice, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-growing team in Southampton. You will receive on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals.
Your key tasks include:
* Working on projects of various sizes, producing 3D models, visualizations, drawings, and schedules under the leadership of discipline managers
* Learning to use advanced CAD applications and improving your skills
* Collaborating with the Transport team and other disciplines across Ramboll globally
* Promoting Ramboll’s brand, values, and strategy for sustainable change
* Applying health and safety, quality, and environmental policies
Your starting point for growth
We support your personal and professional development from day one. Ideally, you will have:
* At least 5 GCSE passes including Mathematics and English at grade 4 (C) or above
* A keen interest in the built environment
* The ability to work independently and in a team
* Strong technological skills
* Be at least 18 years old on the start date
