Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 per annum (MPS/UPS, depending on experience)

A welcoming and community-focused secondary school in Borehamwood is looking to appoint an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach PE to KS3 and KS4 classes
* Deliver a broad and balanced programme of sports and physical activities
* Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyle choices
* Support extracurricular sport, including clubs, fixtures, and competitions
* Create a safe, inclusive, and energetic learning environment
* Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support behaviour and progress
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS or an equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
* Demonstrates strong organisational and behaviour management skills
* Has knowledge across a range of sports and fitness disciplines
* Is passionate about student wellbeing and physical development
* Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply
