This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to manage, maintain, and enhance the IT infrastructure and cyber security landscape within a dynamic environment. You’ll be instrumental in safeguarding IT systems, leading technical projects, and ensuring the organization’s cloud and back‑office infrastructure remains robust, secure, and future‑proof.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of back‑office IT hardware, software, and cloud systems.
* Lead and manage technical projects, upgrades, and high‑risk implementations while adhering to change control procedures.
* Proactively maintain IT infrastructure in line with industry best practices to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
* Implement and uphold security standards, policies, and guidelines across diverse platforms, including disaster recovery and non‑production environments.
* Manage Abri’s Azure cloud estate, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
* Ensure systems and services are patched per security protocols and respond to emerging security risks in alignment with Cyber Essentials+ standards.
* Provide escalation support for complex technical issues and act as a subject matter expert in infrastructure and cyber security.
* Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring long‑term solutions are applied to prevent reoccurrence.
* Work closely with the IT Service Desk, offering expertise on infrastructure and cyber security matters.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including configurations, processes, and service records.
* Stay current with evolving technologies and propose enhancements to optimize infrastructure and security posture.
* Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to align IT solutions with business needs.
Key Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in a technical and security‑focused IT role, providing advanced support and troubleshooting.
* Strong background with tools such as Wire Shark and Fiddler for diagnosing complex network and system issues.
* Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Cisco, VMware, CISSP, Microsoft certifications).
* ITIL Foundation certification or strong understanding of ITIL frameworks.
* Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server technologies, Office 365, Azure, VMware, enterprise storage, networking, and AVD.
* Expertise in cloud security environments, standards, and best practices, including ISO27001, NIST, SANS, CIS, and Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and manage multi‑stakeholder relationships.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
* Full driving license and/or ability to travel as required.
