Main purpose of the role
* Provide excellent customer care across all care pathways in the store
* Set up equipment/technical tasks and complete delegated duties
* Perform diagnostic/pre-assessment procedures under the supervision of the optometrist
* Capture digital images and OCT scans
* Conduct visual field testing following the optometrist's instructions
Essential skills
* Technically competent
* Minimum of six months experience as an Optical Assistant
* Excellent customer communication skills
* Confidence to seek guidance and support when needed
Main responsibilities
* Explain appointments clearly to customers
* Ensure data protection and regulatory compliance
* Perform diagnostics adhering to IPC and PPE guidelines
* Make customers comfortable and inform them about each stage of their journey
