Do you have experience in patient care and are you looking for a new challenge? This role is in a clinical support capacity within the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust. The centre is based in Guildford with a satellite site at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. Some duties may require you to work at the satellite centre to ensure service coverage.
You should be enthusiastic, friendly and hard working with excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage your time, plan and prioritise your work. You will work in a team and make decisions within your scope of practice, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Main duties and responsibilities
The role is to support clinical staff in the care and administration of patients undergoing radiotherapy, working with Medical, Radiographic, Physics and Administrative colleagues.

Job Description and Responsibilities
This role supports the clinical and administration teams within the Radiotherapy department. Key aspects include providing practical support to patients and their carers during visits, assisting in clinics, supporting theatre sessions, chaperoning, restocking, locating patient documentation, and assisting in the delivery of Radiotherapy and CT scanning. The post holder will provide both clinical and administrative support and may cover at East Surrey Hospital for annual leave or sickness as required.
You will be part of a busy, friendly radiotherapy department and be expected to work flexibly, with the ability to move and handle patients when necessary. You will have access to CPD opportunities and links with Macmillan for ongoing learning. Training may include Care Certificate (3 weeks if not already held), venepuncture, and theatre assistance, in addition to mandatory Trust training.

Person Specification
Essential
* Previous experience in a reception or other customer-facing role
* Confident standard of computer literacy (training provided)
* Aware of legislation concerning radiation and safety hazards, Data Protection Act implications, and maintaining patient and staff confidentiality
Desirable
* Previous NHS experience
* Understanding of NHS/other administrative systems
* Understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues
