As our Cook, you’ll be cooking for people who’ve lived full, incredible lives – people who deserve food that feels like home.
Yes, it’s a busy kitchen; Yes, you’ll be working to dietary needs, preferences, and routines. But what you’re really doing? You’re making someone feel seen, safe, and satisfied.
A bit about the role:
* Plan and prepare and cook balanced, home-cooked meals tailored to resident’s dietary needs
* Ensure meals are presented well and served on time
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and nutritional guidelines
* Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen
* Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure resident’s needs are met
* Bringing warmth, pride, and maybe even a few laughs into the heart of the home.
What we’re looking for:
* An experience passionate Cook
* Knowledge of food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements (e.g., soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals) – or a willingness to learn
* Ability to work efficiently, independently and keeping calm under pressure
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* A warm, friendly personality and a good sense of humour – it helps in a busy kitchen!
