Working Hours & Shift Pattern
* Full-time position
* Monday to Friday schedule
* Shifts worked within standard nursery operating hours
* No regular weekend work required
* Breaks provided during shifts

Job Description
As a Preschool Room Leader, you will take the lead within a well-established nursery setting, supporting children’s development through engaging, play-based learning in line with EYFS standards. This setting offers a warm, child-focused environment where creativity, curiosity, and emotional wellbeing are prioritised. Located in Sunningdale, Berkshire (SL5), the nursery provides a supportive and collaborative workplace with strong leadership and a focus on continuous development. This role would suit a confident and experienced early years professional who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and education.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the daily running of the preschool room
* Plan and deliver engaging EYFS-based activities and learning experiences
* Support, mentor, and guide junior team members within the room
* Ensure high standards of care, safety, and safeguarding are maintained
* Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers
* Maintain a stimulating, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements
* Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team and management
* Promote positive behaviour and support children’s emotional development
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
* Proven experience working within a preschool room leader role
* Strong understanding of EYFS and early years frameworks
* Ability to lead a room and deliver high-quality childcare and education
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and colleagues
* Confident working independently and managing a team environment
