This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role within Upper Key Stage 2 and support pupils through a crucial stage of their educational journey. About the Role As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school, while maintaining a positive, engaging, and encouraging classroom environment. Your responsibilities will include: Taking full responsibility for a Year 6 class Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum Preparing pupils confidently for SATs, including targeted interventions Planning, assessing, and adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils Promoting resilience, independence, and high expectations Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure strong pupil outcomes The School This is a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Worthing, with a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, high standards, and staff development.
