Interim Area Property Operations Manager

Drive operational excellence across a critical public sector estate

Client: Major Central Government organisation

Duration: 6 months

Location: Lincolnshire

An exciting interim opportunity for an experienced Area Property Operations Manager to oversee Facilities operations across two secure sites within a high-profile public sector environment.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in facilities, estates or property operations management who thrives in fast‑paced, operationally critical environments.

The Role:

You’ll take responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant management of property operations, ensuring facilities, maintenance and site services are delivered to a consistently high standard.

Working across multiple sites, you’ll monitor operational performance, manage compliance and safety activities, and coordinate remedial actions where required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing day‑to‑day property and facilities operations across two sites
* Overseeing maintenance, compliance and security‑related activity
* Monitoring performance against safety, quality, cost and programme targets
* Identifying operational risks and implementing corrective actions
* Managing technical specifications and safety documentation from review through to implementation
* Supporting contractors and service delivery partners to ensure operational standards are met
* Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance is maintained at all times

Requirements:

* Strong experience in facilities, estates or property operations management
* Background managing operational services within complex or regulated environmentsKnowledge of compliance, health & safety and maintenance operations
* Experience monitoring supplier or contractor performance
* Strong stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
