We are recruiting for a Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people. This exciting role spans both educational settings and healthcare sectors across South Tees.
You will be based with the well-established and successful trailblazer Mental Health Support Team (MHST), known locally as Inside Out. The team is located in Middlesbrough and provides mental health support across a range of educational settings in the Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland local authority areas.
The role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with barring.

You should be confident working as part of a team, and skilled at building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, particularly within educational settings.
You will deliver mental health interventions on a one-to-one and group basis, as well as delivering whole school approaches to help schools embed strategies to promote and support mental health and wellbeing.

Qualifications
Experience
* Work within Mental Health Support Team for schools either as trainee or qualified EMHP
* Experience of working with children and young people, their families, and others.
* Experience of working and liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders
* Experience of working with children and their families in a healthcare setting
* Experience of working with children and their families in an education setting
* Delivery of group interventions for children and young people.
Personal Qualities and Specific Attributes
* Self-motivated
* Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post
* Team player
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Able to meet the physical requirements of the role after reasonable adjustments have been made for any illness or disability.
* Full, enhanced, and current satisfactory DBS disclosure for the role
* Ability to personally manage a sensitive, traumatic, and potentially emotionally distressing caseload
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
Specialist Experience
* Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties
* Experience of working with anxiety disorders
* Experience of working with affective (mood) disorders
* Experience of the delivery of specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families (e.g., CBT, solution-focused brief therapy)
