We are looking for a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join a leading global pharmaceutical organisation on an initial 12-month contract. In this role, you will shape the company’s corporate narrative, manage media relations, and support senior leadership communications across the Northern European Hub. You will also lead the development of engaging content for employees and external audiences, manage campaigns, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead media relations and press office activities, including proactive outreach and reactive media handling. Develop and implement communications strategies that support business milestones and corporate priorities. Support senior leaders with speaking engagements, media interviews, and visibility initiatives. Create and manage engaging content for digital channels, social media, and corporate platforms. Maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and other external stakeholders. Collaborate with EU and global communications teams to ensure aligned messaging. Advise leadership and business units on communications strategies to enhance impact and engagement. Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and internal communications across the hub. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in media relations and strategic communications. Strong writing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work across multiple markets in a global, matrixed environment. Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical or regulated healthcare environment. Desirable skills: Background in journalism, communications, public policy, or political affairs. Knowledge of neuroscience, oncology, immunology, or cardiometabolic health. Familiarity with UK and Nordic healthcare or political landscapes. Proficiency with AI and analytics tools.
