Overview
Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the UK branch in Ammanford. The role focuses on guiding day-to-day operational functions within the branch, supporting the management team, and fostering an environment aligned with the company vision, strategy and culture. The position aims to motivate and empower people to perform the manufacturing process with excellence and to produce a quality product.
What you'll be doing
* Leading a safety-first approach and maintaining a zero-accident culture. Ensure and monitor work, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations to create a safe and productive environment free of liabilities or defects
* Development and administration of the Operational budget, controlling operational P&L and addressing variances to achieve revenue targets, maximize productivity and optimize costs. Collaborates with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality & Program Management to ensure continued delivery of the manufacturing plan
* Monitor quality and quantity of output and take appropriate action
* Optimize branch capacity and efficiency through flexible plant and manufacturing structures; implement Lean Manufacturing methods to improve operations and production utilization
* Establish a culture of functional and Operational Excellence, support 5S and lean initiatives, and model the Company Beliefs and Behaviors
* Develop internal capabilities and strengthen the organization (Succession Planning) through training and career development opportunities to achieve operating objectives
* Maintain adherence to internal and external business processes and certifications relevant to the automotive industry and local legal requirements
* Fulfill assigned deputy/back-up roles as required by the business
To be successful in this role, you\'ll need
* 5-7 years of proven operations success in a manufacturing environment
* Automotive experience
* Experience managing P&L
* Experience in people and project management
* Business acumen with a proven track record
* Proven leadership skills in a growth and change-based manufacturing environment
* Strong multi-tasking skills with adaptability to changing business needs and deadlines
* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
* Proven ability to build relationships and drive results through internal partnerships
* Excellent oral, written, organizational and communication skills
