Health & Safety Coordinator Location: South East Employment Type: Full-time Sector: Construction / Civil Engineering About the Role Were looking for a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to support the Health & Safety team across a busy civil engineering environment. Youll play a key role in maintaining safety systems, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth coordination of compliance activities allowing Advisors and Managers to stay focused on site engagement and proactive safety leadership. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Systems & Compliance Maintain accurate health & safety records, documentation, deliverables and RAMS Support the management and continuous improvement of the IPC system Monitor scheduled inspections and ensure completion within required timeframes Track SLT inspections and issue reminders where needed Data Analysis & Reporting Analyse inspection and IPC data to identify trends Create and maintain the monthly Health & Safety dashboard Support the preparation of performance and compliance reports Coordination & Administration Support induction processes, including booking and coordinating sessions Assist with Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing administration Maintain toolbox talk schedules and ensure timely delivery Keep accurate accident and incident records, following up on outstanding actions Meetings & Communication Take minutes and track actions for monthly Health & Safety forums Update internal communications on safety initiatives and performance Wellbeing Support Assist in the coordination and delivery of the company wellbeing programme Skills & Experience Essential Strong administrative and organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) High attention to detail and accuracy Confident written and verbal communication Ability to analyse data and present information clearly Strong time management and prioritisation skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable Experience on large, complex construction projects Joint venture project experience Understanding of NEC contracts and change management Personal Attributes Proactive and self-motivated Strong problem-solver with a solutions-focused mindset Professional and confidential approach Able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all level
