Speech and Language Therapist needed across London

We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to support across London with Local Authorities with statutory EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) assessments. In this role, you will complete specialist speech, language, and communication assessments, provide clear evidence-based recommendations, and contribute to high‑quality, legally compliant EHCPs. Your work will play a key role in helping children access education, develop essential communication skills, and achieve greater independence. You will collaborate closely with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams across the Local Authority.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out paediatric speech, language, and communication assessments for children undergoing EHCNAs.
Produce outcome-focused, evidence-based recommendations for EHCPs.
Work collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals to support integrated provision.
Contribute to annual reviews and ongoing EHCP processes.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with safeguarding, GDPR, and professional standards.Requirements
BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
HCPC registration (essential).
Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people with SEND.
Experience contributing to EHCPs in educational and/or clinical settings.
Strong assessment, reporting, and communication skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.Desirable
Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Experience working in early years, mainstream schools, or specialist provisions.
Knowledge of developmental language disorder (DLD), autism, speech sound disorders, AAC, or social communication needs.
Experience delivering training to school staff or parents.Additional Information
