Contract Type: 12-Month Maternity Cover (Full-Time)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00
Salary: £31,306.80 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic catering team at Aegon, one of Edinburgh’s leading workplace sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead within a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment, delivering exceptional food quality and service to a diverse business community.
Working closely with the Executive Chef and Senior Kitchen Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the kitchen – from food production and hospitality services to driving customer satisfaction and upholding quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver a variety of meals and hospitality offers to the highest standards
* Ensure consistent, high-quality service aligned with client expectations
* Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and production
* Lead by example with a customer-first approach and attention to detail
* Help oversee the smooth, efficient operation of a 29-member catering team

Aegon Edinburgh is a major workplace site catering to approximately 1,900 staff. With a catering team of 29 professionals, we serve breakfast, lunch, and a range of hospitality offers, including everything from business lunches to fine dining and BBQs – all delivered to a 2 Rosette standard.
