Do you have experience of, or a keen interest in, the events and exhibitions industry?

GES is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Credit Controller to join our Finance team.

As a Credit Controller at GES, you will:

* Be responsible for working proactively on collections for all shows assigned to you, ensuring invoices due for payment are collected prior to show opening.
* Make calls, send emails and letters to ensure collection, covering shows in the UK and Amsterdam.
* Proactively search for resolutions to establish whether the debts are due, or to be credited.
* Match invoices and credit notes to keep ledgers up to date.
* Create daily reports for colleagues on site who can assist with any delinquent debt upon the opening of a show.
* Plan your own workload, and have flexibility, and a willingness to help with achieving team goals.
* Follow agreed processes consistently to work within a well-controlled environment for SOX compliance.

The role will require both written and verbal communication on a daily basis, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

About you:
You will be a confident team player, with experience in a similar environment, and the ability to work under your own initiative.

You will have a minimum C grade GCSE Math's and English, with excellent IT skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Sage X3 or similar.

Salary:
This role offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience. We operate a reward strategy based on our team members receiving a salary that best reflects their experience and skill level.

Hours of work:
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 830am – 5pm. On occasion you may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods to meet the demands of the business.

Annual leave:
Our holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
