Role Overview
Recruiting a full‑time Band 6 Specialist Practitioner and Supervisor (trainee or qualified) to join Children and Family Health Devon within our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) and Child Wellbeing Practitioner services.
The role sits within the early intervention pathway and supports children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, including anxiety and low mood. It also contributes to the development of whole‑school and college approaches to emotional health and wellbeing across education settings.
We offer the opportunity for non‑qualified supervisors to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Clinical Supervision of Psychological Therapies Practice at the University of Exeter as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical supervision and reflective practice to Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Child Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs).
* Support practitioners to deliver evidence‑based interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of the MHST early intervention pathway.
* Support whole‑school and college approach activity in partnership with educational settings.
* Promote safe, effective, and consistent clinical practice across the service.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within a growing and evolving model.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across Children and Family Health Devon and partner agencies.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and use routine outcome measures to support care and evaluation.
* Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
