Armada is an established training company. We deliver creative and technical courses to professional people at our established training centres in Bristol, Bromsgrove, Cardiff, Nottingham, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Reading and Sheffield, and at clients' venues throughout the UK.
We're seeking a mature, professional person to assist at our exciting new Manchester centre, which opened it doors earlier this year. Working primarily at the start of the day, you'll be involved with setting up courses, meeting and greeting delegates, and assisting with various aspects of our training operation at Manchester.
Reporting to our team at our Bromsgrove HQ, you'll be the face of our Manchester training centre.
As with all positions we advertise, our aim is to recruit someone who'll be with us for the long-term. As such, this position isn't suitable for students. It's ideal for someone looking to supplement their existing income, and not be reliant on it.
You will be required to work between 8am and 9.30am on days when we host training courses; we envisage this will typically be 8-12 days per month. However, Manchester is a relatively new centre for us and as such this number is likely to fluctuate more than normal for the next few months.
From time to time you'll need to carry our additional tasks outside these hours, but there will usually be a degree of flexibility when this is required, so you'll be able to fit this around your other commitments.
This role involves working irregular days - we will notify you the week before which days you're required to work the following week. If you're genuinely interested in this role, please confirm that you understand that this is the case, and explain how this will fit into your other commitments. We will only consider applications that provide this confirmation.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and setting up our training room at the start of each training day.
* Meeting and liaising with our trainers.
* Warmly meeting and greeting our training course delegates upon arrival.
* Tracking stock and re-stocking items as required.
* Liaising with staff at the venue.
* Other miscellaneous tasks as required.
Skills and requirements
We don't require any specific experience – full training will be provided. We are looking for the right person who:
* Is approachable, personable and able to adapt to different situations, always keen to delight training delegates and improve their experience.
* Has outstanding communication and customer service skills.
* Has excellent organisational skills.
* Is able to work independently and is highly dependable.
* Has basic computer skills as a minimum. (You don't necessarily need to be an advanced computer user – we prepare computers for training courses and carry out troubleshooting remotely.)
