Finance Manager Grade 8 – £50,788 - £54,971 per annum Permanent - full time, 37 hours per week. Flexible work style: Hybrid Working – Working at home and the Civic Centre or any other suitable location (as required by the service). We have an exciting opportunity available at Finance Manager level within the Strategic Finance service. We pride ourselves on being a supportive finance function that delivers a high standard of professional financial advice across the organisation by making strong relationships with budget managers and being part of the exciting improvements this city is making. About You We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join us as a Finance Manager. You will be responsible for managing a small team, reporting to a Finance Business Partner. You must be a chartered accountant (CCAB/CIMA) with public sector experience. You will have the drive, determination and enthusiasm to deliver a high quality service for those you will support in trying to achieve the aims of the city. You will have significant post qualification experience of supporting leadership teams, developing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders and producing high quality reports for management information and decision making. Other desirable attributes include experience of working at a senior level on multidisciplinary teams such as on transformational projects and programmes, as well as experience of working with multiple funding sources. You will thrive on working to strict and challenging deadlines and be committed to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards. Our working arrangements All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
