Electrical Engineer Woking, Surrey £55,000
Brilliant opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to work within a critical environment based in Woking, Surrey! You'll be provided High Voltage training, on-going training, valuable insight to critical plant equipment, and join a market leading service provider!
For this Electrical Engineer position, you will be responsible for the Planned Preventive (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, actively fault find / troubleshoot, maintain critical plant equipment (UPS, Generators, 3 Phase, LV and HV), update site logbooks and assist in site shutdowns / black outs.
Electrical Engineer Duties:
Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical electrical and mechanical systems Conduct High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) isolations and switching operations in compliance with site safety procedures Operate and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, standby generators, HV/LV infrastructure, and precision cooling systems Monitor and control Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA systems to ensure stable and efficient plant operations Carry out daily plant checks, scheduled inspections, and comprehensive fault diagnostics Support the creation and execution of switching schedules, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards Collaborate with shift teams to respond to system alarms, equipment failures, and operational escalations Maintain accurate records, including operational logs, work permits, and statutory documentation
Electrical Engineer Requirements:
Fully qualified in Electrical Installations / Engineering (C&G / NVQ / EAL or equivalent) At least 3 years experience working within commercial maintenance Experience working with critical equipment (UPS, Generators, 3 Phase, Low voltage and High voltage) No experience working in a critical environment is required Live within commutable distance to site
Salary and Package:
