The Opportunity
Agritas is driving the future of electrification — and we’re looking for a Battery Cell Assembly Technician to be at the heart of our pioneering R&D cell prototyping facility. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone experienced in battery assembly within dryroom environments, who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑tech setting.
Key Responsibility Areas
* Operate semi‑automated equipment for cell assembly processes such as stamping, tab welding, electrolyte filling, pouch forming/sealing, and inline quality testing — prioritising safety and compliance.
* Collaborate with project managers to support scheduling, throughput, and resource planning across the assembly line.
* Maintain accurate logs for traceability, assist scientists with data extraction and interpretation, and report observations to cross‑functional teams.
* Ensure all equipment is calibrated and operational; manage spares inventory and maintain vendor relationships to stay updated on latest technology and best practices.
About You
You’re detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and excited about working at the forefront of battery innovation. You take pride in following procedures, identifying improvements, and working as part of a collaborative technical team.
Your Experience Includes
* Experience in battery cell assembly (ideally pouch cells)
* Skilled in using semi‑automated cell assembly equipment
* Familiarity with dryroom operations and working to safety‑first lab practices (5S, GLP)
* Experience working from engineering SOPs and executing script‑based setups
* Effective communicator with strong documentation and organisational skills
Bonus If You Have
* Previous experience in a prototyping or R&D environment
* Knowledge of battery industry equipment vendors and market trends
