Description Job Title: Intern – Continuation Engineer Location: Luton Role Type: 12-month bachelor’s level internship Job Summary: As a Continuation Engineer Intern at Honeywell, in Luton, you will be responsible for working in a mixture the analogue and digital electronics areas, products ranging from pulse generator to integrated smart water meters, with the advanced communication and metrological technologies. This is a key position supporting over $40m in year-on-year sales revenue. This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This internship is set up for 12 months to cover a sandwich placement starting in Summer 2026, or for a graduate from 2025 or 2026, with the possibility of a permanent role after the placement. Key responsibilities: You will work closely with experienced professionals, and fellow graduates, to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following: Liaising with New Product Introduction teams to release documentation to Honeywell manufacturing sites and third-party EMS. Support profitability targets through process optimisation and cost management. Manage engineering changes requests, ensure they are technically feasible maintain or improve product quality and reliability. Determine, implement and validate, design updates for difficult to source and obsolete components. Create and release new customer variants in a timely manner as well as acting as a mediator between engineering, production and quality to swiftly deal with customer complaints. Coordinate prototypes and pilot build activities for electronic and radio devices. Key skills and qualifications: Currently pursuing, or a 2025/6 graduate in a bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Physics, or a related subject, (not aerospace engineering), that requires a yearlong industry placement in 2026 Proven exposure to Smart Technologies, (from work experience or your studies) Knowledge of MS Office A passion for engineering and building products Can commute with ease to Luton Business level English language skills, written and spoken Our offer: Career Growth: Clear pathways for advancement, regular feedback, and mentorship opportunities.
