Our Space business in Chelmsford provides high performance CCD, Infrared and CMOS sensors for space science, earth observation, astronomy, and high energy physics applications.
We are looking for experienced Engineers to join our highly successful manufacturing team, to develop high precision silicon assembly and provide support for manufacturing processes.
Summary - Electronics Production Technician – Space
* Development of new and existing Probe capabilities for testing CCD / CMOS Wafers
* Work with Production Engineers to ensure design for manufacture (DFM) is optimized
* Assist with development and writing of procedures for prototyping new products
* Continuously improve existing manufacturing processes and work instructions, collaborating with the wider production team
* Create SAP ME routings from manufacturing flow diagrams
* Generate SAP BOMs and master data in coordination with design, engineering, and procurement teams
* Ensure all documentation is approved through Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
* Manage and optimize operations flow (information and production flow)
* Assist with production trials and complete all relevant documentation
* Follow existing NPI processes
Minimum Requirements:
* HNC in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience
* Experience in Production/Manufacturing
* Experience developing manufacturing processes
* Experience working in a project manufacturing environment
* Excellent problem-solving skills with documented results
* Ability to work effectively in a team
