Partnerships senior occupational therapist

The Role: This role will work across multiple teams in Health and Social Care to support them in finding innovative solutions for people with complex needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead on the use of OT methods, functional assessments and evidence‑based interventions that promote independence Work across organisations to deliver seamless, joined‑up support for individuals with complex needs Use your extensive knowledge of community equipment, prescribing equipment that supports people to live fulfilling lives at home Use your understanding of legislation around provision of equipment andadaptations to ensure the overall most appropriate, cost-effective solutions Offer clinical leadership Contribute to service development, development of innovative practices, quality improvement and cross‑sector collaboration About You: Extensive experience in Occupational Therapy in community, reablement, or integrated care settings Strong understanding of OT models of practice, functional assessment, and interventions that promote independence In‑depth knowledge of community equipment, equipment stores, and how equipment provision supports safe, independent living Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively across organisations A passion for enabling people to live the lives they choose in their own homes What we offer: A competitive salary based on your skills, experience and talent Hybrid and flexible working options An excellent local authority benefits pension scheme Professional development through learning opportunities, regular training sessions and apprenticeship and management schemes For more information on the role, please contact the Recruiting Manager, Peter Ball via email Peter.Ball@stoke.gov.uk About us: We are a city of strengths, with a proud heritage and bright future.
