The Vacancy
Senior HR Business Partner – Maternity Cover (Short Term)
This role will work in close partnership with Headteachers, senior leaders and managers to provide expert HR support, influence strategic decision‑making and ensure the effective management, development and wellbeing of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with schools and leaders to deliver the Trust’s people strategy and workforce plans.
* Provide expert advice on employee relations, workforce planning, organisational change and employment law.
* Support school improvement through effective people management and HR best practice.
* Lead and manage complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, safeguarding and capability matters.
* Act as the Trust lead for ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims.
* Support workforce modernisation, restructuring, TUPE transfers and organisational change projects.
* Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across the Trust.
* Lead on pay, reward and annual pay review processes within designated areas.
* Develop and implement learning, development and apprenticeship strategies.
* Support staff wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives.
* Contribute to Trust‑wide HR projects, policy development and strategic initiatives.
* Support the implementation and development of digital HR systems and processes.
* Deputise for the Head of HR Business Partnering and Operations when required.
