We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to work for a global diagnostics business based in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering support and advice ensuring the smooth and timely repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
The business operates a 37.5 hour work week on a bi-weekly rotating shift pattern across Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00. There is the opportunity for overtime at the weekend, and call out cover. Given the shifts, there is also a shift allowance provided.
This position is offered as a contract opportunity for 12 months initially, with the potential to be extended or turn into a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient operation of critical and automated systems, including reviewing performance history and maintenance history to continue to make ongoing improvements to efficiency
Ensuring that all building services are maintained and are operating to a high standard, ensuring all preventative maintenance work orders are completed on time and all demand maintenance work orders are completed in an efficient and timely manner target
Dedicated to change management and encouraging continuous improvement
To lead quality investigations relating to facilities, utilities and critical equipment
Lead and facilitate system upgrades and provide guidance to a cross functional project team on the required documentation such as change control and validation etc
Planning and overseeing small building and new equipment projects
The ability to perform frontline maintenance of plant and production equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, water purification and critical production equipment
Drive and commitment to resolving issues within and out with local departments caused by equipment, systems and/or environmental conditions.
Perform periodic maintenance reviews of instruments and equipment to identify performance improvements and drive an increase in OEE
Proactively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and other general housekeeping dutiesExperience & Qualifications:
Preferably a Modern Apprenticeship Level 4/HND/HNC or equivalent
And / or relevant facilities engineering experience within a regulated industry/environment
Previous experience of facilities maintenance or maintenance of automated equipment
An understanding of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - maximo preferable
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power-Point
Experience in Process Engineering would be an advantage
Experience in PLC controls would be an advantage
