An opportunity has arisen for a Permanent Part-Time Senior Business Support Assistant (working Monday to Wednesday) in the Council Support administrative team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced administrator, assisting with an interesting and varied range of duties. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Property Maintenance Team located at Penston House, Macmerry and also ad hoc administrative support to other areas of the team as and when required.
This role requires proficient use of Microsoft Office and excellent customer services skills. Good communication and numeracy skills are required and you should be able to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and have proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and use your own initiative. You will have a commitment to delivering a high quality of customer service. A high level of flexibility is required as duties may change as the needs of the team changes.
This post requires to be fully office based within Penston House and requires a high level of flexibility as duties may evolve in response to business needs.
Key Tasks include:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Property Maintenance Service Area.
- Monitor mailboxes, categorise, cascade and respond to emails as appropriate.
- Process a weekly invoice batch.
- Processing incoming mail.
- Support Council Support Team based at Penston with reception cover and general admin tasks including mail processing.
Requirements:
- Strong Communication and numeracy skills.
- Proven experience of processing invoices.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven experience in use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven organisational skills with ability to priorities tasks.
- Ability to use initiative and work flexibly as duties may change.
- Ability to work in a team and commitment to deliver excellent customer service.
