Description Wood is recruiting for an Accountant to join our Operations team in Aberdeen. This is a full time, permanent position with hybrid working of 3 days a week in our Head Office in Aberdeen and two days remote. LI-Hybrid The Role The position sits in our Operated Assets business where you will ensure all accounting entries (i.e. project, contract, service line) are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders and externally to the client. Furthermore, financial reporting will extend to forecasts, budgets and a “no surprises” outlook, together with ad-hoc financial analysis. Our Clients and Projects. Designing the future. We build long term strategic relationships with clients across each of our 4 sub-service lines: Decommissioning, Operations & Maintenance, Duty Holder and Optimised Energy. We project manage decommissioning scopes and provide skilled people offshore to help our clients get the best out their assets and keep them ahead. Expected: Further education through College or University with a recognised accounting qualification Strong accounting experience Proficient user of Excel People supervision skills Good commercial knowledge Good systems experience (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion) Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships Strong ethical values and communicates with openness and honesty Desirable: Working towards CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent
