Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Interim Accounts Assistant to join a well established, forward-thinking organisation based in the heart of Birmingham. This role is perfectly suited to an ambitious and detail-oriented finance professional looking to further develop their experience within a dynamic, fast paced finance team.

Working within a large, high-performing finance function, you will gain exposure to a wide range of accounting processes, systems, and stakeholders. This is an ideal position for someone eager to build on existing Accounts Assistant experience and take the next step towards a long-term career in finance.


Key Responsibilities

* Processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices with accuracy and efficiency

* Assisting with sales ledger activities, including raising invoices and credit control support

* Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

* Supporting month end close processes, including journals and accruals

* Maintaining and updating financial records in line with company procedures

* Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve queries

* Assisting with reporting and ad hoc finance projects


About You

* Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar all round finance role

* Ideally studying towards or fully AAT qualified (or equivalent)

* Experience working within medium to large finance teams

* Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude

* Confident working with finance systems and Excel

* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams

* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
