Business Development Manager – Technical Solutions (Global Markets)

About the Business Development Manager role
Pyropress is a leading manufacturer of high‑integrity switches and transmitters used in demanding and hazardous environments. We are looking for a Business Development Manager with technical sales experience, to expand our global footprint, develop new markets, and build high‑value relationships with customers and channel partners worldwide.
This is a key commercial role, ideal for someone who thrives on technical sales, application-led conversations, and opening new doors internationally.
Salary is a base of up to £60,000 (depending up on skills & expereince) with commission of up to 30% of salary, plus car (or allowance) 25 days holiday, with the option to purchase up to another 10 days per year, pension and healthcare.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Developing new business across multiple markets, sectors, and territories.
* Building, managing, and growing a global network of channel partners and distributors.
* Becoming a technical product specialist (training provided), enabling you to provide high-quality solutions and commercial proposals.
* Identifying and targeting new accounts in collaboration with the wider Pioneer Safety Group commercial teams.
* Managing relationships with end users, OEMs, EPCs, and distributors.
* Supporting the creation and execution of sales and marketing plans for the Pyropress brand.
* Ensuring CRM data is accurate and driving structured pipeline activity.
* Supporting channel partners in obtaining vendor approvals.
* Representing Pyropress at customer visits, exhibitions, and international events.
As Business Development Manager you will have:
* Experience in technical, engineering or industrial products business development
* Strong technical and commercial acumen.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
* Confidence in preparing proposals and presenting to customers or channel partners.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
* A proactive, positive, and flexible mindset.
* Ability to travel within the UK and overseas.
Desirable in our Business Development Manager:
* Knowledge of ATEX, hazardous area equipment, or similar regulated markets.
* Technical qualifications in engineering, instrumentation, or related fields.
